After launching the first Casper Schools website in January 2024, we encountered several challenges with our sales and user experience. The existing system required multiple steps across three different platforms: customers had to browse courses on the website, purchase via LINE, and then wait for manual enrollment into their courses. This process was time-consuming, resource-intensive, and led to delays, especially outside business hours.
To improve efficiency and enhance the user experience, we initiated a new platform development project with a launch target of August 2024. The goal was to create a seamless eCommerce-style platform where customers could purchase and access courses in one place.
Given our limited time and resources, the Managing Director selected Shopify as the development platform. My responsibilities included researching third-party providers for online course functionality as well as apps and plugins to support the features we needed to implement. I also set up the Shopify store using a theme and optimized it with custom code to tailor the platform to our specific requirements. Additionally, I focused on ensuring a smooth user experience, from course discovery to instant enrollment.
